Allen is an affluent city in Collin County, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas. Today, Allen’s community is experiencing its all-time fastest rate of growth for residential and business development, with more than 84,000 residents in the total area of 27.1 square miles (70 km2). Since 2000, Allen has had a population growth of 88.76 percent.
Within the past three years, business development has added more than 2,000 jobs and $150 million in capital investment to the local tax base. Allen was recently ranked among the top 10 best corporate relocation cities in Texas by Texas Business magazineThe town offers more than 200 restaurants to choose from and seven hotels from nationally respected brands, nearly 800 acres of developed park land and nearly 50 miles of hiking and nature trails.

Residents of Allen enjoy close proximity to such points of interest as Lake Lavon, just east of Allen.
